The Nomination Process

TO ASSURE THAT YOUR NOMINATION IS SUCCESSFULLY RECEIVED AND APPROVED, PLEASE ADHERE TO THE FOLLOWING GUIDELINES:

1. The nomination process is broken down into several stages: Step #1: Submission of Your Nominee's Name, Phone Number and Email Address along with the category you wish to nominate them in and a summarized essay of why you are nominating them. A deadline will be given at the start of the Nomination Process.  
2. Who is eligible to nominate? Any one can nominate from across the U.S. as long as the individual or organization resides in Mississippi.
3. You can only nominate a individual or company/organization in up to two (2) categories. Submitting 3 or more will result in a nullified nomination.
4. If the nominee has won in a category two times, he/she cannot be nominated in that category again. However, one can nominate them in a category that they have not participated in before.
5. The top 5 nominees in each category will be go on the voting ballot to be voted for on July 15th.
   All nominees are subject to approval before moving towards the voting ballot.
6. The Nominee must have a valid email. Once you have been nominated, you will be notified via email. Please check spam and junk mail for notifications. 
7. Failure to reply with information requested to move on to the “Acceptance” stage will result in invalid nomination.
8. If you nominate someone, please notify them so they can check their email including spam folder. Watch for video updates and your nominees official announcement flyer on The Best of Mississippi Awards page at The Best of Mississippi Awards. 
9. With the exception of the category of "Kid Entrepreneur of the Year" all nominees must be 21 years or older to participate.
10. Sponsored nominees are automatically approved under "Sponsored Nominee". The Sponsored Nominee is fully supported by their sponsor (person who is nominating him/her) and will automatically receive an award. The sponsor can choose to be recognized at the time of presentation or remain anonymous. Nominate now through July 4th at www.thebestofmsawards.com.
