The Best of Mississippi Awards was birthed from Dr. Kathy Amos, Founder/CEO of Business Empowered International and the Mississippi Chamber of Commerce. Dr. Kathy started honoring women in 2015. As the years went by, she felt a stronger calling to honor and celebrate men and women alike.
Since the inception of The Best of Mississippi Awards, over 300 nominees, making up individuals and businesses across the state have been nominated to receive The Best of Mississippi Award in various categories. The most recent award celebration was held on October 2, 2020, at The Oak Crest Mansion in Pass Christian, MS.
